The Road to Caer Abhainn
With the weapons secured and Caer Abhainn still waiting on a delivery that will never arrive, the group sets out from Cothrom. Along the road they come across a merchant, Oswin Pryce, under attack by a trio of Perytons. The group makes quick work of the beasts and escorts a grateful Oswin the rest of the way into the city. In thanks, he shares some useful information about the layout of Caer Abhainn before parting ways.
A Meeting at the Graveyard
Rather than spend time exploring the city, the group decides to head straight for the old cemetery outside the north gate to make the appointed handoff, expecting to find Bishop Aetria waiting on the other end. Bluud takes on the guise of Dominik and the group arrives to find not Aetria but a group of mercenaries instead. Their leader introduces himself as Lysander. Both sides prove equally cagey, neither willing to give up much information. With no weapons to hand over and the contact who arranged the meeting long dead, the exchange goes nowhere. The group heads back into the city without incident.
The Tilted Helm
Back within the walls, the group settles in at The Tilted Helm where they meet Cal, an assistant to the city's head banker. Cal proves a useful contact, sharing word of where Lysander's crew has been staying. They also mention a stoneware merchant named Rory, who, while deep in his cups, was overheard talking about spotting a vampire just outside Cothrom. Cal agrees to keep an eye on the North Gate for Lysander's people while the group does some investigating.
The Carp House
The group heads to The Carp House to scout out Lysander's crew. Myrnin, posing as a courier, talks their way into Lysander's room to search it while the rest of the group joins in. Among the few personal effects left behind, Arbin recognizes the make of a shirt as the work of a Paralian tailor — a detail that gives the group pause and deepens their suspicions about exactly who they're dealing with.
