Session 13

May 2nd

A Grave Situation

As the party ventures further into the cave they encounter another construct, this one is in the shape of a cobra. After defeating it they discover the room it was protecting is the grave site of one of the giants. There are tools and material in the room that suggest this is where the constructs were built and that the giant in the sarcophagus in the room was the builder.

The next room they encounter contains two mummified giants who animate and attack the group. After a few dirty looks from the mummies, the group is able to subdue them both. This room shows a scene from the royal court which suggests that these two giants were close advisers to the queen.

Upon entering the final room of the cave, the group encounters an ornate chamber with a stunning carved sarcophagus of the queen. This is being protected by two tomb guardian constructs. These brutes hit hard and possess many magical enhancements but the group learns of their aversion to fire and uses it to help dispatch them.

A Moral Quandary

In the Queen's tomb the group finds her earthly treasures. There is some debate on whether this treasure is fair game or not. Ultimately, the group decides to take coins as historical evidence to entrust to trusted parties like the Sisters of the Shifting Sands. Carna also argues it is ok to take the magic scrolls as payment for clearing the dangers of the burial chambers for the Goliath's since they would likely have little use for them. Each party member receives one of the scrolls.

History Restored

The group returns to the Goliaths where Arbin rejoins them, The Goliaths are very emotional to hear what the group found and extremely thankful to them for handling the danger. They intend to visit the graves in the morning and rediscover their own history.
